Discussing the purchase

Once an offer has been made on your property the estate agent will inform you promptly and detail in writing any offers. The estate agent should keep you informed of all offers, even after you have accepted one. Once you accept an offer they will help you to carry out the legal issues in order to negotiate a final price and terms of sale.
Once the final contracts are exchanged, then the agent will get their commission and the process will be completed. If a sale falls through before completion, then usually there will be no penalty, and the agent will continue to assist you until you withdraw the property or exchange final contracts with another buyer.
